Hey, I'm Zoe (she/they) ๐ I help online business owners create affiliate programs and automated systems that generate steady revenueโso they can focus on building their body of work without distraction.
Over the years, I have sent a lot of pitches: to YouTubers asking for them to review a client's product, to potential clients for my services, and to affiliates inviting them to co-host a webinar with a client. I'm sure you've heard 'the fortune is in the follow-up' and I can put my hand on my heart and say this is 110% true. There are SO many reasons why someone won't answer your email or DM the first time around:
But without a follow-up, your pitch can get lost in a sea of messages, to-do's, and requests; never to be responded to. Whether it's an affiliate, summit, bundle, podcast, or collab invitation, SO many online business owners can be hesitant to send a chaser email because they don't want to 'be annoying' or 'pester' anyone. But you don't need to be aggressive or annoying when you follow-up. There's are gentle ways to do it and, more often than not, I get thanked for following up! Here's what works well for me:
I've seen whole groups of people respond to that final follow up with interest when I hadn't heard from them at all before that point. Remember: if it's not an immediate 'yes', that doesn't mean it's a 'no'. Send those follow-ups! Warmly, P.S. It's time to start thinking about pitching potential affiliates for Black Friday. If you want help planning & prepping your affiliates for your holiday sale this year, take a look at Black Friday Boost. It's only $150 USD right now but I'm raising the price shortly. |
