Wow, I'm really pushing the boundaries of your inbox here, and I know what you're thinking... "Two emails in two weeks? Who IS this diva?!" It's me ππ»ββοΈ All jokes aside, I'm really happy to be typing this when:
The backstory πIf you've been following me for a while, you'll know that in my spare time (and sometimes when I should be doing that thing I've been putting off for two weeks) I play video games and stream on Twitch! I've been streaming for 8 years now - some years a lot more than others - and it's been a huge part of my life. I've met some of my closest friends through my stream, including my partner! But being a business owner & marketer puts me in a unique position within the streaming community. I always see so many opportunities for streamers to grow & market their channels more effectively and build more aligned communities. Under a Until now. The experiment π§ͺI'm going to build a community for streamers, with spaces & resources to help them grow their streams holistically - considering their stream channels, social platforms, brand, community, and audience together instead of just specialising in TikTok edits, for example.
I'm challenging myself to build it and welcome the first 30 members in 30 days, and I want to take you along for the ride.
Full disclosure: my plan is for the community to be free for the first 30 members. I'm more focused on building momentum, having engaged members of the community, and getting feedback than I am on earning money from this right away. This is a passion project after all! "But if it's free you'll get 30 members right away!" Wrong. Streamers - and gamers in general - love their Discord communities. It's hard to bring them to another platform, which brings me to my next point. The return to Circle β"Well, well, well..." Circle said as I came crawling back for the 4th (??) time. Yep, I've had many a failed community in Circle before but with their new AI features coming out (join the waitlist here!), their built-in courses, and their community directory (which will be a great way for streamers to discover me!), I am BACK. I'm loving the idea of building a space where streamers can:
all in one place. Just the idea of teaching streamers how to build an email list gives me all the nerdy goosebumps. π€ Consider this the prep phase π©π»βπ¬I don't want to dive into building anything before doing some good ol' market research. So I created a survey for streamers and have been sharing it across Discords, Reddit, and Threads to gather some helpful insights! If you happen to stream yourself or know anyone else who does, I'd love to get your thoughts too. You can find the survey here!β I'll *Circle* back (π ) on my findings next week and will likely start the actual 30 days of building the community then. (But don't hold me to that haha!) I'm very excited to see where this goes, even if it goes absolutely nowhere. This is an experiment after all! π Warmly, P.S. As a Claude enjoyer, I am proud to say I wrote this email the old-fashioned way. I'm not saying this to be on a high horse or to collect my gold star, but to show you what it looks like when I write straight from brain-to-Kit. In future, if you read emails from me that sound like Claude in a trench coat, please consider this your permission slip to tell me. This email contains affiliate links, which means I'll receive a commission for purchases madeβat no extra cost to you! |
